About Us
We’re sisters who grew up on a small dairy farm with daily chores of feeding calves and chickens, collecting eggs, and when the time came, helping to process chickens. In the 90’s our parents eventually made the tough decision to sell the dairy herd, Dad got a job farming for someone else, and we moved to our grandparents smaller, 40-acre farm. As we got older each of our paths diverted and we spent a number of years in different jobs. While we appreciated the skills and relationships we gained, something was still missing.
In 2014 we decided to raise a couple hogs for our family’s home butchering. We soon realized spending evenings and weekends on the farm didn’t seem like work at all. Instead it reminded us of our farm life growing up! It always perks us up spending time with our babes; giving them good belly rubs and hearty scratches behind the ears. We're still learning a lot with every litter, but that is part of the journey and the fun of it. There's never a dull day!
Today our two brothers are growing crops on 1,000+ acres in the area, which also provides the corn for our hog feed. We're all sharing some pieces of our grandparents farm, which I think would've made them happy carrying on as the 7th generation of farmers.
